As of October 4, 2021, all visitors who enter the Residential Hospice at 140 Water Street will be required to:
- Complete and pass the COVID-19 Health Screening Questionnaire; and,
- Show proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours or proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid test: and,
- Proof of identification
Visitors under the age of 12, who are not eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination must complete and pass the COVID-19 Health Screening Questionnaire prior to entry, and a face mask must be worn at all times.
Full vaccination has been shown to be effective in reducing COVID-19 virus transmission and protecting vaccinated individuals from severe consequences of COVID-19 and COVID-19 variants, including the Delta variant currently circulating in Ontario.
Given the continuing spread of COVID-19 within Ontario, the compelling data demonstrating a higher incidence of COVID-19 among the unvaccinated population, and the increasing levels of contact between individuals as businesses, services, and activities have reopened, it is important that visitors to Hospice be fully vaccinated and/or provide proof of a negative COVID test prior to entering Hospice
Visitors who fail to show proof of full vaccination or negative COVID-19 test will not be permitted to enter Hospice.
