Since 2005 St. Joseph's Hospice has been serving the community as a Resource Centre for terminally ill people as they face their illnesses and support programs for people who are caring for or grieving the loss of a loved one.

On January 21, 2022, J.D. Lawn Service gave $5,000 to St. Joseph’s Hospice! J.D. Lawn Service takes pride in supporting local initiatives and giving back to the community they serve day after day. PRAILL’S GREENHOUSE POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER SUPPORTS HOSPICE

For the 2021 Christmas Season, Praill’s Greenhouse held a Poinsettia Fundraiser for St. Joseph’s Hospice where Praill’s donated $5 from each sale of a Poinsettia to Hospice. By the end of the fundraiser, 106 Poinsettia’s were purchased supporting Hospice and a donation of $530 to Hospice! We are very fortunate to have Praill’s Greenhouse continued support. On behalf of all those at St. Joseph’s Hospice and those we serve, thank you to both Praill’s Greenhouse and our community members who purchased a Poinsettia!

Precious Memories

August 10, 2021 - It has been a month today since my father passed away at Hospice. He had an incredible 12 weeks there, and although the pain of losing my dad is fresh, the grief shifts to gratitude as a result of the experience that we all got to have as a result of his stay there. The care he received was incredible. The staff treated my dad "Bob" with such dignity, compassion, and much appreciated humour, which my dad loved. Dr. Lilly and the staff were able to help make my dad comfortable, and we were given the opportunity to have such quality time with him, where precious memories were made.

Diane and Ruth's Story

There are simply no words to convey my thanks for your care, compassion, and kindness during my sister, Ruth Brown’s, stay at St. Joseph’s Hospice.  When it became apparent that her needs could no longer be met in her home, Dr. Kim asked her where she would like to go…. And her answer was, “I hear the Hospice is a very nice place.”  From the moment of our arrival I knew that her answer to Dr. Kim’s question was an understatement indeed!
