Closest to the Pin Golf Ball Drop winner donates winnings back to Hospice

The Firefighter’s Closest to the Pin Ball Drop is a part of the Bill Cannon Memorial Golf Tournament and this year for the first time we introduced the Ball Drop Raffle.  The ball drop took place at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club with a grand prize of $5,000 to the closest ball.

We were fortunate enough to have the amazing help from 3 fire fighters who volunteered to assist us with the drop of the golf balls.  At 3:00 pm on October 9th, the balls were dropped from the boom ladder of the firetruck onto the green of the driving range. What a sight!

Ball number #868 was the closest to the pin which was purchased by the Carpenters Union Local 1256.  Once the Carpenters Union Local 1256 were contacted as the winners they immediately decided to donate the $5,000 back to Hospice.

What a generous gift!  Thank you to all the members for your continued support of Hospice.
